The Countdown Begins: EPCOT Gears Up for Test Track to Reopen in 2025!

Although it’s been a long over-haul. The Countdown Begins: EPCOT Gears Up for Test Track to Reopen in 2025!

Disney is reimagining the iconic attraction and plans to bring it back to life with a roar. And we’ve got all the latest details.

In a December 2024 press release, Disney announced that the re-imagining of Test Track would be complete by the end of summer 2025. However, recent developments suggest the attraction may open sooner than we think.

We’re finally seeing signs of progress that hint the reopening is drawing near. As a matter-of- fact, the construction walls around Test Track have come down. In its place are rolling planters. These are clear signs that the finishing touches are underway. Now, all signs point to the project nearing completion!

Disney has also added new signage to the front of the attraction, further signaling a renewed GM sponsorship for the reimagined experience. In fact, the design features a clean, sleek look, and it’s set to light up at night—adding a bold, modern touch to Test Track’s updated exterior.

Of course, the new look pays tribute to the original World of Motion Test Track. And we’re liking the retro-inspired detail combination of the past and future.

Last year, ride vehicles were moved from the attraction for refurbishment and aesthetic updates that promise to give guests a new and exciting experience.

Over the past few months, park guests have once again heard the familiar sounds of cars racing along the track, as Disney began vehicle testing for the all-new Test Track 3.0.

I’ve had the chance to experience Test Track through each of its exciting transformations, and I can’t wait to see what this latest reimagining has in store.
